Brecknock Hotel

quoteBeautiful steak, great service and ice cold beer

Rod, Adelaide, August

quoteA few of us travelled from Sydney and had been doing the rounds of local eateries as we were going to be in town for about 3 weeks. Once we came across the Brecknock we literally ate there every night.
Great food, great variety and very helpful and friendly staff. Each and every person we introduced to Brecknock then made this great venue their local.
The added extras were real beer at realistic prices and great entertainment such as trivia and a fantastic outside eating area.
We'll be back next June for 3 weeks and this time we know where we will head to for a great meal and atmosphere!

quoteHad lunch in the beer garden today. Food was nice, and decent portions (i had a chicken schnitzel). Service was okay, meal took a little while but that's because it was busy. which i guess is a good thing!

About Brecknock Hotel

The Brecknock Hotel is Adelaide's original Irish pub established in 1851 and proudly South Australia's number one Guinness selling outlet. Located down the south end of Adelaide city, offering a comfortable alternative to the raucous northern end. The Brecknock Hotel is stylishly unpretentious with a refreshing old school feel.

The new beer garden compliments the traditional layout. Dappled sunlight and comfy lounges make it is easy to sit on the deck, while away the hours, play pool, or a game of pinball. With a strong focus on music, the Brecknock Hotel has a range of live music throughout the week. Even Tuesday's Trivia night is only about Music.

The Brecknock Hotel's seasonal menu is created by Head Chef Anna Kittel, an Irish inspired ala carte that is totally approachable for the quality. Generously served rustic meals with a contemporary flare are all freshly made on premise, from our homemade sauces, freshly crumbed schnitzels to our very own soda bread. Our authentic salads are so good you feel naughty. We have a hearty array of meats and tender seafood along with traditional favorites. Many items hover around the $10 mark plus a lunch menu of pub fare that's even more affordable.
