
At the Tanapa Thai Restaurant it is our wish that you will enjoy your dining experience with us as much as we enjoy preparing it for you. Our Head Chef Thawanrat Thitivimutkun (“Nop” to her friends) received her training at the world famous Oriental Hotel in Bangkok. Thawanrat’s authentic and traditional Thai cuisine will take you on a delightful journey through many parts of Thailand.
Most of the recipes for our dishes have been handed down through many generations of Nop’s family, some have been derived from her days with the Oriental hotel and a few have found their way into her hands from the Thai Royal kitchens.

Travelled all over Thailand (read - not just stayed in a Phuket resort, I know.... shoot me) and this is definitely authentic Thai food.
Snapper special, crispy eggplant, snow pea salad, lamb massaman, red duck curry, drunken beef noodles and the crispy cups are just a few of my favourites... but I'm yet to have a dish that isn't fresh, delicious and bursting with flavour. Not usually a big laksa fan but Nop's is delicious.
We eat in or get take away here at least once a month and have never taken friends who haven't left just as impressed.
Hope this place is around for a long time - Glenelg need more places of this quality rather than the usual chain or tourist rubbish.
